Connect to AI (Free Gemini API Key)

This web uses the Google Gemini API to generate example sentences and explanations. To use this feature, you need your own free API key from Google.

Step-by-step instructions:

Go to aistudio.google.com.
Sign in with your Google account.
In the left sidebar, click API Keys.
Click the Create API Key button.
A popup will appear:
- Enter a name for your key (e.g., HSK WordLab Key).
- Under Choose an imported project, click Create project.
- In the new window, enter a project name (e.g., HSK-AI-Project) and click Create project.
Once the project is ready, click Create key.
Your new API key will be displayed. Copy it immediately.
Paste the key into the Gemini API Key field in this web and click Save.

⚠️ Important: Your API key is private and sensitive. Never share it publicly (e.g., social media, videos, or forums).

How to Get a Free Groq API Key

This web uses Groq Cloud to access ultra-fast AI models like Llama 3 for AI chat Tutor.

Step-by-step instructions:

Go to console.groq.com and sign in with your Google, GitHub, or email account.
Once logged in, you’ll see text API Key displayed in the top-right corner of the dashboard homepage.
Click on the API Key preview (e.g., gsk_******) or the API Keys menu in the left sidebar.
On the API Keys page, click the + Create API Key button.
A popup will appear:
- Enter a name for your key (e.g., HSK-WordLab).
- Click Submit.
Your new API key will be generated and displayed **only once** with the message:
“Your new API key has been created. Copy it now, as we will not display it again.”
Immediately copy the full key (it starts with gsk_).
Click Done to close the popup.
Paste the key into the Groq API Key field in this app and click Save.

⚠️ Important: Groq shows your API key only once.
If you lose it, you must delete the key and create a new one from the API Keys page.
